I know it’s almost Halloween and I should be featuring all the great Halloween ideas that have been linked up.
You can check out previous It’s Playtime Halloween features on Googly Eyes and A Spooky Halloween.
This week, I’m thinking about what to do to get the kids moving yet this fall before it gets too cold outside to go run around!
(Gratefully Growing in Grace: A Leaf Maze)
Gratefully Growing in Grace adds a fun twist to the usual raking leaves and jumping in leaf piles. A maze of leaves to run through looks like a good time to me! I love how big it is! More movement is found at their ABC run and putting words together game!
- A pumpkin hunt at I Heart Crafty Things! What an easy idea to have the kids run as fast as they can finding the hidden pumpkins!
- Observe trees in nature. Learn about their leaves and other characteristics. Our Creative Days makes note of their observations and collects leaves from their nature study to make leaf rubbings.
- Dinosaurs & Octopuses gets outside and climbs trees! Surprisingly, there’s a ton of benefits from this thrilling activity! (They also had pumpkin seed food fights that I think would be a blast after carving pumpkins this year!)
- Pretend play with Brenna Phillips after reading Johnny Appleseed! The kids plant seeds with a pot on their head!
High Five to these play friends!
(Go leave them a playful comment!)

I don't know why it linked up three times. Sorry! The first two times I tried to link up the project it took me to the Linky tools home page so I didn't think it went through. Is there a way to remove the first two Pumpkin Decorating Links?

Hello I am a Scottish Mama to my little sweetheart Oscar who is 2 (will be 3 in Feb), and I have just found your site via a twitter post, and its fab. I find most of the under 5 years crafts are either still too trick for Oscar or they are so much effort to achieve them its not worth it. Yours are so simple yet such fun. I have bookmarked loads of pages. Cant wait for Oscar to wake from his nap to get started on the yarn monsters . Thanks ever so much.

Thanks for the link, Jamie! We are disappointed that a very responsible daddy has already cleaned up all our leaves! No more mazes this year. :(
